Just a quick update: Rex Ryan shot down the rumor that the Jets planned on releasing OLB Bryan Thomas:

I guess you can throw enough names out there that maybe you hit on one, so, whatever. Nice report. I can say this, Bryan Thomas I’ll say right now, he’s not going to be released. I’m not going to talk about any other players, but Bryan Thomas is not going to be released.
It is important to note that he did not say anything about Alan Faneca or Shaun Ellis. I’m sure we will see what happens during the next few days.
